Unlocking Your Investment Potential: A Guide to Navigating Indian IPO Allotment Status.

A comprehensive guide on how to effortlessly check your IPO allotment status.

The world of finance is evolving, and Investing in Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) is a lucrative opportunity for individuals to become a part of a company's growth journey right from the start. As you eagerly apply for an IPO, the anticipation builds, knowing that you could soon become a stakeholder in a groundbreaking venture.

In this blog post, we will walk you through the process of checking Indian IPO allotment status and provide you with the necessary information to stay informed about your investment journey. So let's dive in -

There are three major Websites to check IPO allotment status :

  • From KFINTECH Website (Mine preferred one)

  • From BSE Website
  • From NSE Website

To check the IPO allotment status from the BSE website please follow the below steps:
  • Go to BSE India and look for "Public Issues", click on "Public Issues"
BSE Home Page for IPO Allotment

  • Below webpage will open. Look for "Status of Issue Application" and click on the link given under the same text

  • An empty form will open with text "Status of Issue Application". Please fill below details:

  1. Issue Type: Equity
  2. Issue Name: Please select the appropriate name from the drop-down menu, which will be opened once you click on select (In our case we are choosing "SBFC FINANCE LIMITED"

  • Then you need to fill in either the Application number (Which you must have received when you applied for the IPO, either in email or in a text message) or your PAN ID number (Preferred by most users, as it's more accessible for the user)

Any one of the below will be sufficient to move further.

    1. Check the box in front of "I'm not a robot" (Hopefully we aren't and it stays the same way in future ✌😜)
    2. Click on "Search" Button

  • Based on the allotment status, it will show the result. If you haven't received the allotment, it will show 0 in front of the allotted shares. If you have received the allotment it will show the number of shares allotted to you along with other details like Application Number, PAN, Applied number of shares etc.

(There might be a case it will show "Record not found" - This will come if you haven't applied for the IPO via a broker which is listed for BSE and chances are that you have applied via NSE)

If you are not sure whether you have applied from NSE or BSE, please follow the below steps to check the allotment status

  • There will be multiple link icons appear such as Link-1, Link-2, etc. Please select any one of them and click on the icon. It will open a new webpage in a new tab of the browser

  • On the webpage there will be a button "Show Only Recent IPOs", and it will be in enable state. This ensures that it list outs only recent IPOs (If you want to check the old IPO allotment status, disable the button and then select the one from the listed options)

  • Please perform the below steps to fill out the form:
    1. Select the IPO name for which you want to check the allotment status. (In the given example we are using SBFC FINANCE LIMITED)
    2. There will be three options; a) - Application No, b) - Demat Number, and c) - PAN. Please select any one of them. (I have selected PAN as it's the easiest to get access of)
    3. As per the selected option fill in the appropriate detail
    4. Input the same captcha number given on the right side (If you are having difficulty reading the captcha, click on the refresh button next to the captcha to get a new captcha value)
    5. Click on Submit

  • As per the allotment status, the result will come with details like Application Number, Category, Name, Client ID, PAN, Appliend number of shares and allotted number of shares.

For non-allotment it will appear as Zero under "Allowed". If you have got the allotment, the number of allotted shares will appear under "Allotted"

It's appearing as zero for me as I had not received the allotment of SBFC FINANCE LIMITED. Good luck to you 😃
